Backup of mappings?

Hi,
Could anyone tell me how to take the backup of all the mappings in a repository? Is it the job of an ETL-developer?

1. You can export each mapping and save the xml file.
2. The entire repository can only be backed up by creating a backup file. This can be done from the admin console and would require admin rights.
To back up the repository is an admin's job. But you can export your mappings to xml and save them. That way you have a backup in case something goes wrong and you want a previously working version. Of course, this may not apply to a versioned repository.

Hi Tanya,
you can use informatica repository server administrative console to take the
backup of mapping.. the backup will be in c:\program
files\informatica\repositoryserver\bin\backup.
it will be stored as .rep file.
thanks

Go to Repository Manager, select folder, select mappings. Select first mapping by pressing shift and go to the last mapping and select. This will select all mappings, right click and export. You can give some name for the bakup_mappings.xml. Advantage with repository manager is that you can create single .xml file for all mappings, but with designer, you should import one by one.
Thanks,
